Empowering Educators: Key Takeaways from Jaipuria Indore's FDP

The Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, recently hosted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, aimed at fostering collaboration and growth among educators and facilitators committed to academic excellence. Serving as a platform for enhancing teaching techniques, research insights, and academic rigour, the program encouraged participants to share and exchange ideas on advancing education. Dr. Prakash Bartunia,a distinguished academic and the chief guest for the event, emphasised the significance of collaborative efforts between private and government institutions to elevate educational standards. His focus on the critical role of research, effective textbook selection, and the dynamic challenges in teaching today provided an inspiring foundation for the event.

Kicking off the sessions, Dr Deepankar Chakrabarti, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, led a session on "Use of AI in Education," where he explored the potential of AI-driven tools in academia, especially generative AI and prompt engineering. He introduced innovative approaches to teaching with AI, showing how these technologies can enrich student engagement and learning outcomes. Following this, Dr. Rekha Attri, Professor of Marketing, led an insightful session on "Qualitative Research." She explored the nuances of qualitative analysis and provided practical tips for effective academic writing. Participants eager to elevate their scholarly contributions were particularly drawn to her advice on clarity, structure, and integrity in research paper writing.

The final session of the day, conducted by Dr. Jagdish Bhagwat, explored "Quantitative Analysis of Data Using Excel," showcasing Excel's powerful capabilities in handling datasets, statistical modelling, and hypothesis development. With his extensive experience in management education and industry, Dr. Bhagwat also shared insights on crafting practical-oriented assessments. The first day concluded on a high note, enriched by the diverse knowledge and practical expertise shared by each speaker. The program left participants equipped with fresh perspectives, underscoring the importance of continued learning and professional growth in academia.
