We are thrilled to share the success of Day 1 of Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, which began on 18th November 2024 with the inaugural session of Prabavh 3.0: Startup & Entrepreneurship Conclave. The theme for this year, "Intrapreneurship: Cultivating Innovation and Growth from Within," set the stage for an insightful discussion featuring a distinguished panel.
Mr. Manish Gehlot, an IIT Bombay alum and MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota, currently works as chief strategist for Medius Earth, a socio-climate mass forestation startup. He also holds upper management positions at IBM, Accenture, and CP wholesales. Mrs. Archana Parsai Gehlot, an IIT Bombay alum and former product strategy director at Oracle USA, has been experimenting with zero outsourcing of health, education, and food for the past 10 years. Mr. Ankit, a khoji from Swaraj University with a vibrant background in art and skill, is a playful facilitator who naturally connects with audiences through cooperative games. Mr. Sagar Choukse and Mr. Hardik G. Dawar, businessmen and entrepreneurs, shared valuable insights on the importance of observation skills in entrepreneurship. The discussion theme was “Prabhavh 3.0: Startup & Entrepreneurship Conclave”.
The panellists emphasized the need to observe everyday challenges and turn them into opportunities. For example, the story of Flipkart, founded by Sachin and Binny Bansal, was highlighted. Recognizing the lack of reliable e-commerce platforms in India, they launched Flipkart, starting with books and scaling into a market leader. Similarly, Sridhar Vembu, the founder of Zoho, observed the demand for cost-effective and customizable software solutions, creating products that now rival global tech giants. These examples inspired students to think creatively and innovatively.
Mr. Manish Gehlot stressed curiosity as a tool for identifying unique opportunities, while Mrs. Archana Parsai Gehlot emphasized empathy to understand users' needs. Mr. Ankit discussed the importance of persistence, and Mr. Sagar Choukse highlighted networking and collaboration. Mr. Hardik G. Dawar spoke about using analytical thinking and creativity to address real-world problems.
The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and gain actionable advice, leaving them motivated to embrace observation and innovation as entrepreneurial tools.
The ceremony set the tone for E-Week, providing students with the inspiration and knowledge needed to develop entrepreneurial mindsets. The institute looks forward to more engaging events throughout the week to foster innovation and creativity.
