Orientation Program of batch 2025-2027-JIM Indore

From 30th June to 11th July, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, successfully conducted a ten-day Orientation and Induction Programme for the new PGDM Batch of 2025–2027. This immersive programme was thoughtfully curated to welcome the fresh cohort into the academic ethos of the institute and to prepare them for the transformative journey ahead. Guided by Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, Director, along with Dr. Sharad Chaturvedi, Dean (Academics), and Dr. Rekha Attri, Dean (Student Affairs), the programme was an engaging blend of academic insights, leadership lessons, personal development sessions, and peer-bonding activities.

 

 

Day 1 – 30th June 2025

The induction programme began with a seamless student registration process and guided campus tours to help students familiarize themselves with key facilities such as academic blocks, dining halls, and hostel premises. A special orientation session was arranged for the parents, where Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, Director, and the Deans addressed their queries, presented the roadmap of the PGDM programme, and highlighted the student support systems in place. This initial engagement created a warm and transparent environment, making parents feel confident in the academic and personal journey their wards were about to embark on.

 

 

 

Day 2 – 1st July 2025

Day two, themed Prarambh – LEAP – Udyam, set the tone for an insightful and purpose-driven induction. Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, Director, encouraged students to embrace each learning opportunity with curiosity, while Dr. Sharad Chaturvedi, Dean (Academics), underscored discipline as the foundation of success. The Chief Guest, Mr. Mansingh Jaswal, CEO, Genex Logistics, delivered an inspiring address by sharing his entrepreneurial journey, reflecting on the values of endurance and continuous growth. Dr. Vinayak Vishwakarma, Programme Chair, spoke about India’s dynamic startup ecosystem and later presented the vote of thanks. The day concluded with Tycoon Quest, a student-driven, business-themed activity organized by the House of Unity under the guidance of Dr. Ghanshyam Pandeyand Dr. Monika Agrawal, energizing students with the spirit of healthy competition and teamwork. 

 

 

 

Day 3 – 2nd July 2025 

Day three provided students with a structured understanding of the academic curriculum, internal assessments, and the evaluation process. These sessions were conducted by Dr. Sharad Chaturvedi, Dean (Academics)Dr. Vinayak Vishwakarma, Programme Chair, and Dr. Sharmili Banik, Controller of ExaminationsDr. Rekha Attri, Dean (Student Affairs), along with Mr. Rahul Bairagi, CAO, and hostel wardens, conducted a session on hostel life and institutional discipline to help students understand the shared responsibilities that come with residence life. Dr. Mansi Kapoor conducted a fascinating session on Critical Thinking, encouraging students to develop sharper problem-solving and reasoning skills. Post-lunch, students were introduced to faculty and staff from all academic areas in a session titled Rendezvous with Your Second Family, establishing a sense of comfort and belonging. The day wrapped up with The Business Brief, a quiz moderated by the House of Wisdom that tested business concepts in an interactive format.

 

 

 

Day 4 – 3rd July 2025

Day four started with Money Affairs, a session by Mr. Prashant Khatri, Senior Manager, Accounts & Finance, where students gained clarity on fee payments, document formalities, and financial planning for the academic year. Lie Detector: Two Truths and a Lie, a fun and engaging activity led by House of Unity, gave students an opportunity to interact, laugh, and form early bonds. In the following Career Launchpad session, Dr. Amit Shrivastava discussed how students could prepare for placements from day one by crafting impactful resumes and building meaningful networks. The last activity of the day, Letter to Your Future Self, offered students a reflective opportunity to write down their goals and aspirations.

 

 

Day 5 – 4th July 2025

The fifth day opened with a candid alumni interaction moderated by Dr. Pooja Kushwaha, Chairperson, Alumni Committee. Alumni shared their corporate journeys and personal experiences at Jaipuria, underlining the institute’s role in shaping them into professionals. The next session, PersonaCraft, a LinkedIn workshop curated by the House of Radiance (Dr. Pooja KushwahaDr. Megha Jain, and Prof. M.A. Sanjeev), taught students the importance of digital branding and how to build effective online profiles. Dr. Rekha Attri, Dean (Student Affairs), then led a session covering POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), anti-ragging regulations, and gender equality policies, reinforcing an environment of mutual respect and inclusivity. The day concluded with The Chill Drill, a student bonding activity designed to foster group collaboration and lively conversations.

 

 

Day 6 – 7th July 2025

Day six began with The Silent Coach, a knowledge-enhancing session focused on research databases and library resources, delivered by Dr. Gaurav Mathur, and the library team (Mr. Nitesh Pawar and Ms. Vinita Atre). Safety and awareness took center stage in Stay Alert & Safe, an informative session by Shri Rajesh Dandotiya, Additional DCP, Indore, focused on cyber security and drug abuse. This was followed by Your Learning Buddy, a hands-on introduction to Moodle (the institute’s LMS), led by Mr. Sandeep Maurya and Dr. Pooja Kushwaha. Towards the end of the day, Resume Rally, by Dr. Manohar Kapse and Dr. Megha Jain, helped students begin crafting professional and strategic resumes.

 

 

 

Day 7 – 8th July 2025

Dr. Vinayak Vishwakarma, Chair, CEED, led off the day with an interactive session on entrepreneurship, innovation challenges, and startup frameworks. This was complemented by insights from Dr. Gaurav Golay, Assistant Director, MSME Ministry (DFO Indore), who outlined the various incubation and funding opportunities available to young entrepreneurs. The day continued with Paper Stones and Up and Down, management games guided by House of Resilience mentors Dr. Shailesh Pandey and Dr. Nupur Gupta, encouraging teamwork and agility. Post-lunch, Rhythm & Roots, a musical session conducted by the House of Wisdom, led by Dr. Romi Sainy, offered a soulful pause. In the evening, Jaipuria Got Talent saw students showcase their hidden talents in an atmosphere full of energy and applause, marking a truly memorable day.

 

 

Day 8 – 9th July 2025

Day eight celebrated student ideas and entrepreneurial spirit through Business Orientation Project Presentations. Students across houses pitched interesting startup concepts, demonstrating creativity, strategic thinking, and presentation skills. This was followed by a powerful session on Psychological Fitness, conducted by Dr. Neha Mulchandani, where she encouraged students to adopt mindfulness, emotional self-care, and resilience practices to maintain their mental well-being throughout their PGDM journey.

 

 

Day 9 – 10th July 2025

The penultimate day carried the theme Safety, Strategy, Synergy. It began with Safety First, a session on fire safety and emergency responses conducted by the campus administration team. In Every Second Counts, students learned basic CPR procedures and life-saving techniques for emergency situations. BizCharades, an interactive and energetic game, mixed business terminology with creativity and fun. The day concluded with Beyond Boundaries, where students met with presidents and mentors of various student committees and clubs, learning about leadership opportunities and co-curricular ecosystems beyond academics.

 

 

Day 10 – 11th July 2025

The final day of the Orientation Programme was curated to offer reflection, relaxation, and celebration. The day began with Visualise, a thoughtfully designed session that allowed students to reflect on their learnings and experiences from the past nine days. What followed was a special off-campus experience at The Grand Machal, one of Indore’s most scenic adventure destinations. Students enjoyed a zip-lining course, rope climbing, adventure trekking, and team games in the lush green surroundings. This outdoor engagement promoted camaraderie, trust, and a strong sense of community. The day concluded back on campus with an awards ceremony recognizing standout performers of the induction, followed by The Final Frame, a symbolic closure to the ten-day journey filled with learnings, laughter, leadership, and new aspirations.

 

The Orientation and Induction Programme at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, successfully set the tone for the academic, personal, and professional journey that lies ahead for the PGDM Batch 2025–27. Through collaborative events, interactive mentoring, and impactful sessions, students now feel prepared, connected, and aligned with the institute’s values of purpose, knowledge, and action.
