Day 1: A Warm Welcome and Exploring Jaipur's Charm

The day commenced with the arrival of students from UTP Malaysia at Jaipur International Airport. They were warmly welcomed by the IRC team, accompanied by the IRC Co-Chair, Dr. Oum Kumari R, in a traditional Rajasthani style, ensuring a vibrant and memorable beginning to their visit. From the airport, the group was escorted to the campus for lunch. Coinciding with Faculty Day, the meal was uniquely prepared by the faculty members, adding a special touch. The students particularly enjoyed the gajar ka halwa, which left a lasting impression. Post-lunch, the group ventured into the city for exploration. At Patrika Gate, the IRC coordinator provided insights into the cultural and historical importance of the landmark. The journey continued to Albert Hall, where the Malaysian students, enthusiastic photographers, eagerly captured the architectural beauty. The day concluded with a visit to Hawa Mahal, providing another opportunity for the group to marvel at Jaipur's iconic heritage.

Day 2: Immersion Program – Visit to Agra

On the second day of the immersion program, the Malaysian students, accompanied by the International Relations Committee and Dr Oum Kumari R, visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. They were mesmerized by its architectural brilliance and the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guided tours provided insights into the story of Emperor Shah Jahan’s eternal love that led to the creation of this masterpiece. The students enthusiastically captured memories through photographs and admired the monument’s intricate craftsmanship. The visit facilitated cultural exchange and enriched their understanding of Indian heritage, making it an unforgettable highlight of their journey.

Day – 3: Welcome at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur

The third day of the one-week immersion program was marked by a series of meaningful and engaging activities. The day began with a warm and traditional welcome for the Malaysian students, setting a culturally rich tone for the events ahead. A lamp-lighting ceremony symbolized the illumination of knowledge and the strengthening of bonds between the two institutions. Following this, the students were presented with Green Certificates as a gesture of appreciation for their participation and commitment to sustainable values. The formal proceedings included a heartfelt welcome speech by Dr. Oum Kumari and Dr Daneshwar Sharma, Dean Academics highlighting the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration. Dr Aprana, Chair also share her experience of her visit to UTP held during 5th to 12th January 2025. This was followed by an inspiring address by Khairunissa Ma’am, the faculty coordinator for the Malaysian students, who emphasized the significance of the program in fostering global connections. Adding a personal touch to the event, Jaipuria students Yashika and Khushi shared their experiences from their visit to UTP, offering valuable insights and memorable anecdotes. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Oum Kumari, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers for making the day a success.

Day 4: Leisure and Local Sightseeing

The fourth day of the Malaysian students' immersion program offered a perfect blend of relaxation and cultural exploration. The morning was reserved for leisure, allowing the students to unwind and prepare for the exciting activities ahead. Post-lunch, the group embarked on a local sightseeing tour to two of Jaipur's most iconic landmarks: the Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort. Both sites provided a captivating glimpse into the architectural grandeur and historical significance of the Pink City. The students were particularly enchanted by the panoramic views of Jaipur from Nahargarh Fort. The day concluded with a return to the hotel for a comfortable dinner, leaving everyone rejuvenated for the activities planned for the following day.

Day 5: Industrial Visits to Jaipur Rugs and Sitapura

The fifth day marked a significant opportunity for the students to gain insights into the business and industrial landscape of Jaipur. The day began with a visit to Jaipur Rugs, where the students learned about the intricate process of rug-making and the socio-economic impact of this globally renowned enterprise. The session provided a deeper understanding of craftsmanship and sustainable business practices. After a delightful lunch at the Jaipuria Institute of Management, the group headed to Sitapura Industrial Area for their second industrial visit. This visit further expanded their knowledge of India's industrial ecosystem. The day concluded with a return to the hotel, where the students shared their enriching experiences over dinner.

Day 6: Presentations and Final Visits

The sixth day was highlighted by a series of engaging presentations by the Malaysian students and faculty members. A formal farewell ceremony along with DR Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management was organised and the certificates and gifts were distributed to the students of UTP, Malaysia. These sessions fostered an exchange of ideas and showcased the creative and analytical capabilities of the participants. Following the lunch at the Jaipuria Institute of Management, the group visited GT and WTP, two prominent shopping destinations in Jaipur. This provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to explore the vibrant local markets and indulge in shopping, adding a fun and memorable end to the day. Dinner at the hotel offered a chance to reflect on the day's experiences and prepare for their final day in the program.
