On 26th November, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, hosted a high-impact conclave on “Transforming India through Water Security, Innovation, and Inclusive Growth.” The event brought together eminent social leaders and entrepreneurs who encouraged students to contribute actively to sustainable development and nation-building. The conclave featured Chief Guest, Dr. Rajendra Singh, the renowned Waterman of India and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee, along with distinguished speakers Mr. Manish Anand, Founder & CEO of Mithila Naturals, and Mr. Vinod Birla, Joint Secretary, Seva Bharti Malwa, who shared valuable insights that inspired students to adopt innovative, responsible, and community-driven approaches toward shaping a sustainable future.
Dr. Ghanshyam Pandey, Chairperson of the Social Responsibility Committee, set the context by highlighting the urgent need for sustainable resource management and the pivotal role of youth in securing India’s future. Chief Guest Dr. Rajendra Singh delivered a compelling address on India’s water crisis, community-led conservation, and his transformative work in reviving over 10,000 water bodies and five rivers, as well as rehabilitating communities in the Chambal region. His message emphasised responsible stewardship of natural resources.
Mr. Manish Anand, Founder & CEO of Mithila Naturals, shared his journey of building Mithila Naturals into a successful makhana-based enterprise that empowers farmers and generates rural livelihoods. He urged students to embrace entrepreneurship as a driver of social and economic change. Mr. Vinod Birla, Joint Secretary, Seva Bharti Malwa, highlighted Seva Bharti Malwa’s mission, the value of volunteerism, and the scope for long-term collaboration with Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore.
The conclave concluded with remarks by Dr. Amiya Mohapatra, Dean of Research, who summarised the key insights and appreciated the speakers’ contributions to environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social welfare. Faculty members felicitated the guests, marking the close of an enriching and motivating session.
