The Green Verdict: A Battle of Minds for a Greener Tomorrow

The Alliance of Sustainability (AOS) Club at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, proudly conducted The Green Verdict, an electrifying debate competition that brought together bright minds to deliberate on critical environmental issues. The event was designed to challenge participants through thought-provoking discussions, immersive role-playing, and entrepreneurial pitches, all focused on the theme of sustainability and innovative solutions for a greener future.

The competition encouraged participants to engage in high-energy debates, stepping into the roles of key stakeholders such as policymakers, environmental activists, corporate leaders, and sustainable entrepreneurs. Each debate pushed the contestants to analyze pressing environmental concerns, defend their viewpoints with logic and data, and counter opposing arguments with precision and clarity. Through this dynamic format, the event not only honed their debating skills but also deepened their understanding of real-world sustainability challenges.

An exciting segment of The Green Verdict was the entrepreneurial pitch round, where participants had the opportunity to present innovative business ideas aimed at promoting sustainability. From renewable energy solutions to waste management startups, the pitches showcased creativity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. The competition was a true test of intellect, creativity, and persuasive abilities, inspiring students to think critically and propose actionable solutions that could make a tangible impact on the planet.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners, who demonstrated exceptional debating skills, compelling arguments, and forward-thinking perspectives:

Abhijeet Yadav – Winner of The Green Verdict, Divya Tewatia – Runner-up, Vaibhav Shivani – Second Runner-up, with their exception skills and thoughts towards sustainability.

A special note of appreciation to our distinguished judges, Dr. Varun Chotia, Program Chair – First Year and Dr. Lokesh Vijayvargy, Dean Student Affairs, for their invaluable insights, expertise, and support. Their thought-provoking questions and constructive feedback played a crucial role in elevating the competition and providing participants with a deeper perspective on sustainability.

The whole event was well coordinated and organized by Ms Shruti Seth, Student Head, AOS Club and Mr Kapil Agarwal, Senior Coordinator, AOS Club.
