Sports meet at Jaipuria Institute of Management, 28^th Feb- 1^st March 25`

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, successfully hosted the 12th Annual National Inter-College Sports Meet on February 28 and March 1, 2025, bringing together more than 500 students from over 25 colleges across India. The event was a grand celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship, fostering an environment of healthy competition and mutual respect. With a wide array of sports and activities, the event was a testament to the growing importance of physical well-being in academic institutions.

The Sports Meet was honoured by the presence of Surbhi Mishra, Former Squash Player, and Danveer Singh Bhati, Former Captain of the Rajasthan Basketball Team, as chief guests. Their inspiring words motivated students to pursue excellence in both sports and academics. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, who congratulated the organizing committee for successfully managing the 12th edition of this prestigious event. He emphasized how sports cultivate leadership, discipline, and teamwork among students, making them well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.

Dr. Lokesh Vijayvargy, Dean - Student Affairs, expressed immense pride in witnessing such overwhelming participation and highlighted the integral role sports play in shaping students' personalities. The event officially began with an inspiring march led by students, symbolizing unity and sportsmanship. Prof. Rahul Meena, Faculty Chair of the Sports Committee, reinforced the importance of physical activities in maintaining mental well-being and encouraged students to actively engage in sports alongside their academic pursuits. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the participants set the stage for an exciting two-day event filled with competitive spirit and camaraderie.

Throughout the two days, the sports meet witnessed thrilling matches across multiple categories, including traditional field sports, indoor games, and e-sports. The enthusiasm among the players and spectators alike created an electrifying atmosphere, making every competition a memorable experience. The winners of the various events were honored during the valedictory ceremony, where their dedication and perseverance were celebrated. The champions in major games included Kho Kho (Girls) - Kanoria College, Kho Kho (Boys) - St. Wilfred College, Volleyball (Girls) - Jyoti Vidyapeeth College, Volleyball (Boys) - Rajasthan University, Cyber Games: Tekken - Global Institute of Technology, BGMI - SKIT, Table Tennis (Boys Doubles) - JECRC Foundation, Table Tennis (Girls Singles & Doubles) - SKIT, Chess - Parishkar College, Carrom (Boys) - Anand International College, Carrom (Girls) - IIS University, Tug of War (Girls) - PODDAR College, Gully Cricket - PODDAR College, Pickleball - Manipal University, Basketball (Girls) – Maharani College, Basketball (Boys) – Shyam University, and Futsal - VGU.

Beyond the spirit of competition, the event also provided students with an opportunity to forge new friendships, build networks, and develop a sense of unity among colleges across India. The enthusiasm displayed by the participants was matched by the dedication of the organizing team. The event was meticulously planned and executed by the Sports Committee and Desert Devils Club of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. The tireless efforts of Devesh Vashishta, Sports Coordinator, Priyanka Yadav, Staff Coordinator, and Himanshu Sharma, Student Affairs Coordinator, ensured that every aspect of the sports meet was conducted seamlessly, making it a resounding success.
