On 26th January 2024, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow celebrated 75th Republic Day, to express gratitude to our freedom fighters, for their contributions and to honour the memory of those who laid down their lives for the country.

The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary (Dean Student Affairs) and Dr. Shalini Singh (Chairperson, Cultural Committee). The event was coordinated by SDC’23.

Republic Day holds profound significance, transcending its status as a mere date on the calendar. More than a mere celebration, it stands as a reaffirmation of the rich tapestry of our traditions and an unwavering respect for our nation. This sentiment was symbolized through the Flag Hoisting by Dr. Kavita Pathak (Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow). Dr. Pathak's leadership in this ceremony not only marked a symbolic gesture but also underscored the responsibility we all share in upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution.

The flag hoisting was followed by cultural programmes, showcasing the profound patriotic spirit and pride that resonated within our collective identities. Through various artistic expressions, it captured the mosaic of our cultural heritage, portraying the unity in diversity that defines our nation. From traditional dances to patriotic songs, the programme served as a reminder of the vibrant tapestry of our traditions and the collective pride we take in our identity.

Beyond the celebrations, this occasion also shed light on the rights and duties of citizens, promoting a deeper understanding of the responsibilities that come with citizenship.

In essence, Republic Day is not just a commemoration, it is a dynamic reflection of our shared history, diverse cultures, and the ongoing commitment to the principles that guide our nation towards progress and unity. It is a manifestation of national pride, allowing citizens to celebrate their identity as Indians.

For students, this pride became a source of motivation to excel in their endeavours, contribute positively to society, and uphold the values that define the nation. It promotes the idea that, despite regional, linguistic, and cultural differences, everyone is bound by a common commitment to the ideals of the Constitution.
