On 18th October, 2024 Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, conducted the Reorientation and Rejuvenation Program for Batch 2024-26. The event kicked off with a high-energy Drum Circle activity, featuring over 300 drums that filled the atmosphere with lively beats and rhythms. Under the leadership of Manu (Head of Drum Circle), accompanied by Shreya and Jasmeet, the participants jammed to the pulsating sounds of Djembe Drums, creating a harmony that perfectly symbolized the spirit of unity. The crowd’s enthusiasm was palpable as they grooved to the music, setting a joyful tone for the rest of the day.

The day started with Dr. Varun Chotia, Program Chair First year- PGDM GM, warmly welcoming everyone, expressing his excitement for what laid ahead. His words reflected a deep commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the student community through this unique activity.

Dr. Samar Sarabhai, Dean Academics beautifully set the theme by exploring the meaning of rejuvenation and reorientation. He shared the symbolic story of Nataraja, Lord Shiva's dance of cosmic renewal, drawing parallels between the process of self-renewal and our own journey as a team. His inspiring words encouraged everyone to embrace change and growth as essential components of progress.

Following this, Dr. Daneshwar Sharma, Dean Student Affairs emphasized the importance of teamwork and unity in achieving success. He reminded us that, just like the beats of the drum that work in sync to create harmony, it’s our collective efforts that bring us closer to our goals. His message reinforced the power of collaboration, urging all students to nurture this spirit in their academic and personal lives.

Dr. Aparna Mendiratta, Program Chair SM then extended her heartfelt best wishes to all students, particularly as the result declaration was soon to follow. Her words reflected a genuine desire to see every student succeed and thrive in their journey ahead.

With spirits high, the drum circle continued, allowing everyone to Jam, Vibe, and Lose themselves in the melody. The music brought out a sense of togetherness, and the energy of the crowd was infectious. The event’s conclusion was marked by enthusiastic cheering, a testament to the incredible atmosphere of positivity that had been built.

Before closing, Dr. Aparna Mendiratta delivered a thoughtful thank you speech, expressing gratitude to the drum circle team, whose efforts made the event unforgettable. Alongside her, Dr. Varun Chotia presented a token of appreciation to Manu, Shreya, and Jasmeet for their contributions. The students were then invited to share their feedback, and the responses were filled with appreciation for the vibrant experience that had unfolded.

After a break, the program transitioned to the much-anticipated Result Declaration. Dr. Samar Sarabhai then took the floor to present a detailed result analysis of Term 1, offering insights into overall student performance and areas for improvement.

One of the most exciting parts of the event was the felicitation ceremony, where the Top 3 rankers of PGDM SM and Top 10 rankers of PGDM General were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements. Dr. Samar Sarabhai, alongside Dr. Aparna Mendiratta, Dr. Varun Chotia and Dr. Daneshwar Sharma, proudly presented the awards to these exceptional students. The moment was captured with a group photograph featuring all the toppers, their bright smiles reflecting their hard work and dedication.

To conclude the event, Dr. Samar offered a heartfelt thank-you note, expressing appreciation to everyone who contributed to making the event a success. He emphasized the importance of celebrating our achievements together and looking forward to continued growth as a community.
