On 25th September 2024, the AnalyticX Club at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, hosted an engaging and innovative event titled Play with Olympics Data 2024: Storytelling Competition. This exciting competition saw the participation of 15 teams, all tasked with blending creativity and data analysis to present insightful data stories. The teams demonstrated how data from global events like the Olympics, along with India’s historic double gold at the 2024 Chess Olympiad, can drive meaningful business outcomes.

The event commenced with an introduction by Dr. Usha Badhera, setting an inspiring tone for what turned out to be an enriching session. Throughout the competition, students showcased their data storytelling prowess, illuminating key trends and patterns from the rich history of the Olympic Games. The event was judged by two esteemed alumni: Ms. Anjali Agarwal, Business Analyst at HCL Technologies, and Mr. Nilesh Solanki, Power BI Consultant at Fractal. Their expert evaluations and constructive feedback added immense value, helping participants understand their strengths and areas for growth.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. P. Mary Jeyanthi expressed her gratitude with a heartfelt vote of thanks. A cash prize of ₹6000 was awarded to the top-performing teams, while certificates were distributed to all participants, acknowledging their dedication and enthusiasm in making the competition a resounding success.

The Play with Olympics Data 2024 competition provided a platform where data truly met creativity, showcasing the analytical and storytelling prowess of our talented students.
