One Jaipuria Alumni Leadership Round Table-Bengaluru Edition
The One Jaipuria Alumni Leadership Round Table at Hotel Royal Orchid
in Bengaluru brought together alumni leaders and institutional representatives
for a structured dialogue on industry-led learning projects, internship and
placement support, alumni development, institution building, and ways to create
enduring value for the alumni community. The event followed the approved
minute-to-minute programme, moving from the welcome address and alumni tracer
study to two focused discussion sessions and closing remarks.
1.Opening and Welcome Remarks
Dr. Dheeraj Mishra opened the proceedings
and welcomed the alumni leaders and participants. The opening set the tone for
a collaborative, forward-looking discussion, recognising alumni as long-term
partners in the development of students and the institution. The round table
was positioned as a practical forum where professional experience, live
business challenges and suggestions from industry could inform Jaipuria’s
academic and career-development initiatives.
2.
Alumni Tracer Study
Mr. Vikrant Agarwal presented the Alumni Tracer
Study, which generated keen interest and enthusiastic engagement among the
alumni leaders. The participants listened with great attention and excitement
as they explored the professional journeys of Jaipuria alumni, reflecting on
their career progression, achievements, industry transitions, and evolving
association with their alma mater since graduation. The session sparked a sense
of pride, nostalgia, and renewed connection with Jaipuria, as alumni witnessed
how far their fellow graduates had progressed in their professional lives. The
enthusiastic response of the alumni leaders reinforced the value of the Alumni
Tracer Study as a meaningful step towards building a stronger, more connected,
and future-ready One Jaipuria Alumni Network.
3. Session I - Alumni Problem
Statements & Learning Projects
Facilitated by Dr. Poonam Sharma, the
first session focused on industry-led learning projects, alumni problem
statements, live business cases, alumni–academic collaboration and the possible
participation of alumni in project evaluation. Alumni were invited to consider
sharing real organisational challenges that student teams could explore under
faculty guidance.
The proposed approach creates a bridge between classroom learning
and workplace realities. By working on authentic business problems, students
can practise structured problem-solving, research, analysis, teamwork and
presentation of recommendations. Alumni can contribute context and professional
perspective, while faculty members provide academic direction and help ensure
that projects remain appropriately scoped and rigorous.
4.
Session II — Placement Support, Institution Building and Alumni Value
Facilitated by Dr. Pooja Kushwaha, the second session explored how
alumni can contribute to internship and placement support, mentoring, career
development, alumni engagement, industry connect and the broader growth of
Jaipuria. Participants shared perspectives from their professional experience
and discussed ways in which the relationship between the institute and its
alumni can remain mutually valuable over time.
5.
Vote of Thanks and Distribution of Goodies
The programme concluded with key takeaways, a vote of thanks and a
group photograph, as scheduled. The institute expressed appreciation to the
alumni leaders for their time, professional insights and willingness to
contribute to students’ learning and Jaipuria’s continued development. The
closing acknowledged the value of alumni partnership in building a stronger
connection between campus and industry.
As part of the closing interactions, goodies/tokens of appreciation
were distributed to alumni participants as a gesture of gratitude for their
participation and continued association with Jaipuria.
7.
Conclusion
The One Jaipuria Alumni Leadership Round Table provided a focused platform for connecting alumni experience with student development and institutional priorities. The conversations around alumni tracer data, industry-led learning projects, internships and placements, institutional development and lifelong alumni value reaffirmed the potential of an engaged alumni community to support Jaipuria’s future. The next step is to translate the ideas and problem statements into documented actions and sustained alumni–academic collaboration.
