The two-day National Youth Conference “Revolutionizing Innovation for a Sustainable Economy (NYC-RISE-2026)” was successfully organized on March 20 and 21 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore. The conference brought together academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students from across the country and abroad to deliberate on sustainable development and innovation-driven growth for the future. The conference commenced on March 20 with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, creating an atmosphere of knowledge and inspiration. The event was organized under the guidance of Director Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti. In the welcome address, Dr. Amiya Kumar Mohapatra (Conference Chair and Dean–Research) highlighted the vital role of youth as transformative leaders in the present era.
The inaugural session featured distinguished speakers including Dr. Nandish V. Hiremath, Dr. Ashutosh Mandpe, and Dr. Sunil Kumar, who emphasized the importance of education, research, environmental balance, and global collaboration. The Chief Guest, Dr. Anand S., presented an international perspective on sustainable economic development. On this occasion, an edited book titled “Digital Transformation and Circular Economy” was also released.
Following the inauguration, a panel discussion on “Social Innovation and Sustainability” was conducted, featuring Dr. Sonam Paliya, Dr. Nandish V. Hiremath, Mr. Priyanshu Kumath, Mr. Manish Gehlot, Mrs. Archana Parsai Gehlot, and Dr. Vinayak Vishwakarma. The panelists shared innovative and practical approaches to addressing social challenges.
In the afternoon, multiple technical sessions were organized where researchers and students presented their papers and exchanged academic insights under the guidance of experienced session chairs.
The first day concluded with a cultural evening featuring a captivating folk performance by Padma Shri awardee Shri Kalu Ram Bamaniya and his team, followed by a networking dinner that encouraged interaction among participants.
The second day began with a panel discussion on “Sustainable Innovation in Industry,” where Mr. Ashish Dubey, Mr. Gaurav Joshi, Mr. Pradeep Mishra, and Dr. Amit Kumar Srivastava shared valuable insights on strengthening industry–academia collaboration. The conference concluded with a valedictory session in which Dr. Amiya Kumar Mohapatra presented the key outcomes of the conference.
Distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Anubhav Mishra and Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Avatar Goyal were also present. During the closing session, Dr. Debasis Mohanty delivered the concluding address, and awards, certificates, and conference publications were distributed to participants and winners of the best research papers. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Monika Agrawal.
This two-day conference effectively highlighted the importance of youth participation, responsible innovation, and industry–academia collaboration, inspiring participants to develop innovative solutions for sustainable development and a more inclusive future.
