A "Mock GD" session for the Batch of 2023-25 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow on 3 August, 2024. This event was meticulously organised by the Placement and Corporate Relations Committee, with guidance from Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Srivastava (Chairperson), Himanshu Misra (Area Chair, Training - PAN Campus), Mr. Prabhu S. Mathur (Senior Manager, Training & Placements), and Arjit Mani Tripathi (Assistant General Manager, Corporate Relations). The session was expertly coordinated by Mr. Aniket Mishra (Student Coordinator, CMC), who received invaluable support from senior committee members and enthusiastic volunteers from the 2024-26 batch, ensuring a well-executed and impactful experience for all participants.

The session's goal was to make the students acquire valuable first hand expertise, which improved their capacity to communicate effectively, tackle interview questions, and ultimately increase their self-assurance. This allowed them to engage in expressing their ideas, dealing with challenging inquiries, and honing their communication abilities while receiving expert guidance.

Two rounds of in-person Group Discussions were conducted by industry experts to prepare the students for upcoming job interviews. The session started with the welcoming of our esteemed guests and industry experts who took out their valuable time from their busy schedules. Next, the guests were briefed on mock group discussions, followed by group discussions that started with students being divided into groups, which comprised 10 students in each group. They were given topics on the spot with limited time to prepare. Each Group Discussion went on for approximately 45 Minutes which included an Intro, Assigning of Topic, and Discussion followed by feedback from Industry Experts.
 

The students received grades and feedback based on their performance in areas such as communication skills, content, and confidence during the discussions.

The conducted programs proved highly advantageous for the students, with the invaluable feedback from industry mentors contributing significantly to their personal development, increased confidence, and enhanced professional skills. This activity provided an outstanding opportunity for students to prepare themselves for upcoming placement opportunities.
