On 15th August 2025, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with events full of patriotism and joy. The day commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by an inspiring speech by Dr. Kavita Pathak (Director). She began her speech by highlighting the importance of respecting the Tiranga and remembering the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. She also highlighted women's progress in India and reminded everyone that freedom comes with responsibility, encouraging students to practice peace, self-discipline, and good values.
The flag hosting ceremony concluded with a heartfelt patriotic poem recited by Mr. Shakti Singh (Manager, Training and Placement), honouring the nation and its martyrs.
The celebration moved further with a cultural extravaganza that included several performances showing love for the nation. The program started with a patriotic poem recited by Mr. Abhinav Singh, followed by college band performance wherein they played patriotic & energetic songs. Further, a short drama based on the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for freedom. Students also enjoyed an Independence-themed quiz, which was followed by lively dance performance that celebrated India’s diversity.
Moving further, a workshop titled "Leading the Way" for the Students Development Council (SDC) on the Code of Conduct was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kavita Pathak (Director) in the honourable presence of Dr. Sushma Vishnani (Dean, Academics), Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary (Dean, Student Affairs), and Dr. Sujit Patra (Chairperson, PGDM). Dr. Kavita Pathak emphasized the core principles expected from all students, guiding them to be punctual and mindful of deadlines, well-groomed, and to work ethically while taking accountability for their actions. She encouraged them to be team players, remain respectful and cheerful, and care for institutional property and resources. The session aimed to develop a sense of responsibility, discipline, and professionalism among students, preparing them to actively contribute to college life.
The day concluded with a series of sports activities by the Sports and Wellness Committee, featuring friendly games of Carrom, Chess, and Ludo, promoting teamwork and fun among students.
The Independence Day celebration at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, honoured India’s history and inspired students to live with responsibility, unity, and good values.
