Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, celebrated the 11-day Ganesh Chaturthi with lots of devotion, joy, and community togetherness. Every day began with a grand Aarti, where we offered prayers to Lord Ganesha. One of the special moments was the Chappan Bhog, where 56 dishes were prepared as offerings. The Senior vs Junior Antakshari competition added fun and excitement to the celebrations. The Bhajan Sandhya was filled with beautiful devotional songs, and the treasure hunt for Laddu made the evening even more thrilling. On the 11th day, we ended the festival with a grand Ganesh Visarjan.
The grand end on the 11th and last day of Ganesh Chaturthi at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore was the Ganesh Visarjan, filled with devotion, joy, and cultural colors. The evening of Ganesh Visarjan began with a lively Lavni dance, showcasing the rich culture of Maharashtra.
After the dance, everyone started playing with gulal spreading joy and celebrating the unity that Lord Ganesha brings. Soon after, the Visarjan procession began. The beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha was placed on a platform, and the entire community came together to join the farewell.
With the sound of dhol and tasha filling the air, the crowd chanted "Ganpati Bappa Morya!" and danced with energy, giving thanks for the blessings received during the festival. Everyone moved together in joy to bid farewell to Lord Ganesha.
At the immersion site, there was a strong feeling of devotion and togetherness as the procession reached its final stop. The crowd became quiet and focused as the beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha was gently lifted for immersion. Devotees offered their last prayers, feeling grateful for the blessings and joy the festival had brought. The idol was carefully taken to the water, and as it was lowered, people chanted "Ganpati Bappa Morya!" with mixed emotions—happiness for the celebration and a bit of sadness as they said goodbye and bid an adieu to Lord Ganesha.
