The Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, bid a heartfelt farewell to its esteemed Director, Dr. Kavita Pathak, on 17th April 2026, marking the closure of an extraordinary chapter spanning nearly three decades. Dr Pathak joined the institute in 1995 as a founding faculty member, her journey has been deeply intertwined with the institution’s evolution. Over the years, she served in multiple capacities, including Professor, Area Chair, Dean, and Director, leaving an indelible imprint on the academic and cultural fabric of the campus.
The farewell ceremony was a tribute to her remarkable contributions and was graced by Vice-Chairman Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria and Distinguished Professor Dr. V.P. Singh. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Manisha Seth, who warmly welcome the dignitaries, along with outgoing Director Dr. Kavita Pathak and incoming Director Dr. Sushma Vishnani. In his address, Mr. Shreevats Jaipuria reflected on Dr. Pathak’s invaluable contributions and acknowledged the deep personal and professional learning he personally gained from her leadership. Dr. Pathak, in her address, shared reflections from her enriching journey, offering glimpses of her experiences across various roles, including her tenure as Director of both Lucknow and Noida campuses.
The occasion was further enlivened as faculty and staff members took turns sharing heartfelt anecdotes and experiences, painting a vivid mosaic of her impact on countless lives. The ceremony concluded with a ceremonial felicitation, where Dr. Pathak was honoured with a shawl, A warm welcome was extended to Dr. Sushma Vishnani the new Director. The atmosphere soon turned delightfully informal, as colleagues and staff gathered for photographs, each frame capturing admiration, gratitude, and a touch of nostalgia. A particularly poignant moment was witnessed as Dr. Pathak stood surrounded by her former students, now her colleagues, reflecting the enduring legacy of mentorship and excellence she leaves behind. The event concluded over high tea and conversations that lingered just a little longer, much like her enduring influence on the Jaipuria family.
