Meet Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti – Educator, Consultant, and Analytics Pioneer

Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, currently serving as the Professor & Director at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, is a seasoned academic leader and practitioner in the field of Information Systems and Business Analytics. With over 30 years of diverse experience, Dr. Chakrabarti brings a rare blend of global industry exposure and academic excellence to the table.

Before his leadership roles in academia, he worked on large IT and analytics projects across India, Australia, the USA, the UK, West Germany (erstwhile), Japan, and Canada. From developing commercial application software to spearheading consulting assignments for organizations like the World Bank, Palestine Telecom, and the Ministry of Urban Development (Govt. of Mizoram), his portfolio includes integrated business systems, GIS-based decision tools, and knowledge management frameworks.

An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IMI New Delhi, Dr. Chakrabarti holds a Ph.D. in Management from Jamia Millia Islamia. His academic journey includes teaching stints at top B-schools including IIM Indore, and he has held senior positions such as Dean at Apeejay School of Management and Professor & Dean (Research) at Jaipuria Noida.

He has published extensively in reputed journals, co-authored a book, and serves as editor and peer reviewer for both national and international publications.
