On 4th July 2026, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow continued Day 6 of the Orientation & Induction Program (OIP) 2026–28 with the theme "Career Preparedness, Personal Growth & Wellbeing." The day offered an enriching blend of leadership orientation, alumni engagement, diversity awareness, and practical career guidance, providing students with valuable perspectives to navigate their MBA journey successfully.
The day commenced with an interactive session by the Student Development Council (SDC) under the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) in the presence of Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary, Dean – Student Affairs, introducing students to campus leadership opportunities, student-led initiatives, and the vibrant co-curricular ecosystem at Jaipuria. This was followed by "Career Journey & Connections", led by Dr. Manisha Seth, Chairperson – Alumni, who emphasized the importance of building meaningful professional relationships and remaining actively connected with the Jaipuria alumni network throughout one's career. Students also attended an insightful session on "Diversity and Inclusion" by Harish Iyer Ji, DEI Expert, who encouraged them to embrace diversity with empathy, respect, and inclusivity while building successful careers.
A major highlight of the day was the engaging alumni panel discussion on "Navigating the MBA Journey: Newer Skills to Acquire," moderated by Dr. Manisha Seth, Associate Professor (OB & HR). The panel featured distinguished alumni Mr. Amit Kumar Jena (Vice President, UTI Asset Management Co. Ltd.), Ms. Isha Bansal (Director, Talent Acquisition, Escalent), and Mr. Riku Acharyya (Partner & Associate Director, Standard Chartered), who shared valuable insights from their professional journeys. The session included an opening discussion, an interactive question-answer round, a rapid-fire segment, a "This or That" round, and an engaging interaction with the incoming MBA students.
Drawing upon their industry experiences, the panellists emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, effective communication, emotional intelligence, and cultivating a positive attitude to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape. They encouraged students to leverage Artificial Intelligence as a productivity partner while preserving critical thinking, authenticity, and sound decision-making. The discussion also highlighted the significance of maintaining a strong academic record, gaining practical exposure through internships and industry interactions, building meaningful professional networks, and actively participating in campus activities to develop leadership capabilities. The session concluded with inspiring advice on time management, lifelong learning, confidence, and data-driven thinking, motivating students to make the most of their MBA journey and prepare themselves for future-ready careers.
Day 6 successfully reinforced Jaipuria's commitment to nurturing socially responsible, industry-ready, and future-focused leaders by combining academic excellence, alumni mentorship, leadership development, and inclusive values into a truly enriching learning experience.
