Budget Analysis 2025: Hits and Misses

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur hosted an engaging and insightful session titled "Budget Analysis 2025 - Hits and Misses" on February 6, 2025. This unique initiative allowed students to analyze the Union Budget 2025 through a role-play session, offering a deeper understanding of economic policies and their implications.

The event featured students enacting key political figures such as Narendra Modi, Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Gaurav Gogoi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Om Birla, Raghav Chadha, and Dimple Yadav. Through this dynamic role-play, participants debated various budget provisions, critically examining the financial decisions and their potential impact on the nation.

The session was structured like a parliamentary debate, with students assuming shadow cabinet positions:

●     Dakshya Singh as the Shadow Finance Minister

●     Chirag Rohilla as the Shadow Prime Minister

●     Rahul Singh Solanki as the Shadow Defense Minister

●     Preet Goyal as the Shadow Home Minister

●     Yashpal Singh Chauhan as the Shadow Speaker of Parliament

●     Shobhit Tambi as the Shadow Opposition Leader

●     Arihant Jain, Kirti Joshi, Aditi Soni, and Rhythm Sharma as Shadow Opposition Members

The event concluded with the distribution of tokens of appreciation to all participants. The awards were presented by esteemed faculty members- Dr. Varun Chotia, Dr. Aparna Mendiratta, and Dr. Lokesh Vijayvargy, recognizing the hard work and dedication of the students. Additionally, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Dr. Ajit Singh, and Dr. Ansita Aggarwal also acknowledged the participants for their insightful contributions.

This immersive approach to understanding the budget allowed students to develop a practical perspective on economic policies, fiscal strategies, and governance. By engaging in role-play and debate, participants not only enhanced their financial acumen but also honed their public speaking and analytical skills.
