31st Foundation Day Celebrated at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow

On 8th September 2026, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow celebrated its 31st Foundation Day, reaffirming the spirit of “A Legacy That Keeps Leading Forward.”

The celebration brought together the institute’s leadership, distinguished alumni, faculty, staff, students, and other members of the Jaipuria family for an occasion that celebrated the institution’s rich legacy and its continued journey towards the future.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. This was followed by a vibrant cultural performance by the students, setting an energetic and celebratory tone for the occasion.

The celebrations were graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Gaurav Kumar, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow Municipal Corporation, who shared inspiring perspectives on approaching the future with clarity, purpose, and an individual definition of success. The gathering was also addressed by Dr. Sushma Vishnani, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, who reflected upon the institute’s journey, achievements, and the collective spirit that continues to drive its growth.

A key highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the Alumni Achievement Awards, recognising distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions and demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. The awardees were selected by an independent jury constituted to evaluate the nominations and identify the most deserving candidates.

The Alumni Achievement Awards were presented to:

1. Mr. Neelesh Keserwani (Batch 1995–1997), Vice President, Vodafone Idea — Corporate Excellence
2. Dr. Mamata Singh (Batch 1996–1998), Associate Professor, Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna — Academic Excellence
3. Mr. Gautam Mohan Iyer (Batch 2001–2003), National Head – Sales, IDFC FIRST Bank — Corporate Excellence
4. Mr. Anish Mathew (Batch 2004–2006), Managing Director, Iara Foods Products Ltd. — Entrepreneurship
5. Dr. Sayantan Mukherjee (Batch 2016–2018), Assistant Professor, Alliance University — Academic Excellence

The awardees who were present at the event shared heartfelt reflections on their time at Jaipuria and spoke about how their experiences at the institute helped shape their professional journeys and careers. Their words proved particularly inspiring for the present batch of students. Mr. Gautam Mohan Iyer and Dr. Sayantan Mukherjee, who were unable to join the समारोह due to prior commitments, conveyed their gratitude through video messages, thanking the jury and the institute for the honour and recognition.

The celebration also recognised meritorious students for their academic excellence and achievements, acknowledging their hard work and commitment.

Another particularly meaningful moment of the occasion was the recognition of the institute’s dedicated staff and support staff for their invaluable contribution and years of service. Ms. Jimi Yadav, from the Library team, received the Loyalty Award in recognition of her 15 years of dedicated service. Among the support staff, Ms. Roshni Rawat, Mr. Adarsh Awasthi, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Yadav, and Mr. Sunil Kumar were honoured with the Support Staff Awards for their valuable services and contribution to the Jaipuria community.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Hemendra Gupta, Dean – Academics, bringing to a close an occasion that not only celebrated 31 years of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, but also honoured the people—students, alumni, faculty, staff, and supporters—who continue to strengthen its legacy.

As Jaipuria looks ahead to the future, the 31st Foundation Day stood as a reminder of a proud journey, a strong community, and a legacy that continues to lead forward.
