On February 5-6, 2026, FINHAKATHON 2026: Think, Trade, Win; an Inter-College Paper Trading Competition, was successfully organised by the Finance Club at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, as a flagship academic initiative under the banner of JaiUtsav’26, the institute’s annual cultural and academic fest. Conducted in online mode with free participation, the competition utilised the StockGro trading platform and featured a prize pool of ₹10,000+, attracting over 120 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The event was conceptualised to provide a structured platform for applying theoretical financial knowledge within a simulated real-market environment, thereby fostering experiential learning beyond classroom boundaries.

The competition received an overwhelming response with participation from reputed institutions across the country, including NMIMS, Mumbai, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IFMR Graduate School of Business, Chennai, and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Indore, along with students from all four Jaipuria campuses: Indore, Noida, Lucknow, and Jaipur. This broad institutional representation enriched the competitive environment and promoted cross-institutional learning. Participants were provided with virtual trading capital and real-time market data to design and manage portfolios by analysing trends, selecting equities, managing risk exposure, and optimising returns. Strict guidelines, including restrictions on excessive trading, prohibition of scalping, and mandatory holding periods for volatile stocks, ensured transparency, fairness, and disciplined, strategy-driven decision-making.

By promoting ethical trading practices, teamwork, and resilience under dynamic conditions, the competition emerged as a high-impact and academically enriching initiative that strengthened the institute’s learning ecosystem and reaffirmed the Finance Club’s commitment to fostering financial competence, innovation, and competitive excellence among future business leaders.
