21th Annual General Alumni Meet – SAMYANTAR 2021 (Sunday, 21st March 2021 @JIM Lucknow)

And we all want to live a happy life.
Therefore, the colors of life that we learn throughout our journey on Earth represent how we are able to see and interpret the world around us.
Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow on 21st March, 2021 organised Annual Alumni General Meet -Samayantar’21 “Colors of Life” for the esteemed alumnus/alumna of the institute. The event was organised by the Alumni Relations Committee of the institute under the guidance of Dr. Manisha Seth, Faculty Coordinator, Alumni Relations Committee, Mr. Nitin Mohan-Assistant Manager- Alumni Relations Committee and Mr. Samarth Sanal, Coordinator, Alumni Relations Committee. The event was graced with the presence of Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Dr. Shubhendra Parihar, Dean, Students Affairs, Mr. Akashdeep Saxena, President, Jaipuria Institute of Lucknow Alumni Association and the Presidents of the various Alumni Chapters of the institute.
The event began with the Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association wherein the Presidents of all the Alumni Chapters were present along with Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Dr. Shubhendra Parihar, Dean, Students Affairs and Mr. Akashdeep Saxena, President, Jaipuria Institute of Lucknow Alumni Association, Ms. Shalini Nath Tripathi, Associate Professor, Area Chair- Marketing, Ms. Sushma Vishnani, Associate Professor, Finance and Accounting and Dr. Dheeraj Misra, Associate Professor, Finance. The meeting was held in a hybrid mode, connecting all the members of the association. The meeting started with the introductory note by Dr. Kavita Pathak wherein she mentioned the importance of the alumni association and the work they have been doing. After letting the AGM open for discussion, Mr. Akashdeep Saxena took over the dais. He presented the work that have been successfully pulled off by the association and put forth the future plans for the same. This followed by the discussion over the various future plans for the better performance of the association. At the end, Dr. Manisha Seth presented the initiatives taken by the Lucknow Chapter and its achievements for the year.
‘Samyantar 21 – Colours of Life’ witnessed the cultural night, a night filled with music and dance. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Mr. Akashdeep Saxena, President Alumni Association, Dr. Manisha Seth, Chairperson, Alumni Relations, Dr. Shubhendra Parihar, Dean Student Affairs, Dr. Ankit Mehrotra, Dean Research, Dr. Reena Agarwal, Faculty Coordinator, Social Responsibility Committee, Dr. Dheeraj Misra, Associate Professor, Finance, Dr. Masood Sidiqqui, Associate Professor, Business Analytics, Mr. Hemendra Gupta, Associate Professor, Finance and presidents of all Alumni chapters.
The night was hosted by Ms. Sukanya Mitra, Mr. Rohan Arora and RJ Shadab. The event started with hosts inviting Dr. Kavita Pathak to address the gathering where she expressed her contentment of the Alumni network of the college and look forward to connecting with them more often. Further, Mr. Akashdeep Saxena was invited to take over the dais where he not only mentioned the importance of the Alumni Association but also how it has been helping to connect better with the alumni of the institute.
The evening moved forward with felicitating the alumni in various categories-
- Emerging Alumni Leader – Ms. Deepali Gupta (Batch 2013-2015) and Ms. Apoorva Avasthi
- Social Impact Award – Ms. Sunita Gautam
- Outstanding Service and Exceptional Achievement – Mr. Mohit Agarwal
- Distinguished Alumni – Mr. Vishal Bhargava (Batch 2004-2006)
As the evening progressed, a song and dance performance were given by college students which left everyone mesmerized. Not only the students but also our esteemed alumni Mr. Jacob Singh and Ms. Trishna Sehgal set the stage on fire with their singing and dance performances.
‘Cynosure- the Annual Alumni Magazine’ found its place on the stage as Dr. Manisha Seth, Mr. Akashdeep Saxena and Presidents of all Alumni Chapters were invited on the stage to release this Annual Alumni Magazine by the Alumni Relations Committee.
The mesmerizing evening concluded with Dr. Manisha Seth awarding the performers for their explicit performances. To make this meet much more memorable, everybody showed their graceful moves on the DJ and enjoyed as they played various games organised for them.
